In 1955 , Mario Fischetti Sr. came from Italy with his father Pietro in search
of the American dream. The journey landed the two on Long Island's
South Shore, where Pietro's brothers had a landscaping business,
one of the area's first. After roughly three years, Pietro and
Mario used their old-world knowledge and skills to start his own
horticulture business. The
two set up shop in Glen Head in 1958, and quickly developed relationships
with several
local landscapers.
Ever since that historic beginning, Mario Fischetti
Nursery has been owned and operated by the Fischetti family, providing
only the finest-quality products and an unequalled level of friendly,
personal service.
Today, Mario Fischetti Nursery is a landmark
